The Cost of Knowledge: A Collaborative Webinar Series from CCLHD, HNELHD and NSLHD Libraries
In a significant cross-district collaboration, NSLHD Libraries, CCLHD Libraries and HNE Health Libraries have partnered to deliver Open Access Week (19-25 October) and a Research Essentials webinar series for NSW Health staff in October 2026. The initiative brings together expertise from three NSW Health library services to support clinicians, researchers and health professionals in navigating scholarly publishing and maximising the impact of their research.
Aligned with the 2026 International Open Access Week theme, "The Cost of Knowledge," the series will explore journal selection, open access publishing pathways, and how research can be translated into greater visibility, accessibility and real-world impact.
Participants will gain practical knowledge to make informed publishing decisions, comply with funder and institutional requirements, and increase the discoverability of their research outputs. The program demonstrates how library services contribute to strengthening research culture and capability across NSW Health, helping clinicians and researchers increase the reach, accessibility and impact of their work.
