CIAP continues to enhance access to evidence-based information for all NSW Health staff, with several new resources now available and additional clinical decision-support tools being trialled.
Among the latest additions is ProQuest One Health & Nursing, an upgraded resource replacing ProQuest Nursing & Allied Health. The new platform provides expanded access to nursing, medical and allied health literature, including biomedical databases, systematic reviews and dissertations to support evidence-based practice.
CIAP has also introduced the Women’s Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Medicines Guide, an Australian resource offering practical, evidence-based guidance on medication use during pregnancy and breastfeeding, including trimester-specific recommendations and safer alternative therapies where appropriate.
Additional new journal content includes Aphasiology, covering research into aphasia and related communication disorders, and Prehospital Emergency Care, which publishes international research relevant to emergency medical services practice and education.
Alongside these additions, CIAP is currently hosting a trial of DynaMed and Isabel from 1 April 2026 to 30 June 2027, providing clinicians with access to enhanced diagnostic and clinical decision-support tools at the point of care.
Several resources have been discontinued, including
- Pediatric Care Online,
- Dental Trauma Guide,
- and selected journal subscriptions.
CIAP has identified alternative resources where available, such as AccessPediatrics, ACI Dental Emergencies, PsychiatryOnline, and NSW Health Libraries' Document Delivery Service for obtaining articles from unsubscribed journals.
