Have you seen our Deadly Door

To celebrate 2025 NAIDOC week, the library has joined the Innovation Team in decorating our JHH Library Office door.

The library team has also developed an Aboriginal Health Specialty Guide

Libraries have long been pillars of strength, vision, and legacy in communities worldwide. Here's how they embody these qualities:
Strength
Libraries provide a robust foundation for education and lifelong learning. They offer access to a wealth of information, resources, and services that empower individuals to grow intellectually and socially. Libraries also serve as safe spaces for community engagement, fostering a sense of belonging and support.
Vision
Libraries are forward-thinking institutions that adapt to the changing needs of society. They embrace technology, offering digital resources and online services to ensure accessibility for all. Libraries also promote innovation through programs that encourage creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration.
Legacy
Libraries preserve the cultural and historical heritage of communities. They archive valuable documents, books, and artifacts, ensuring that future generations can learn from the past. Libraries also play a crucial role in promoting literacy and education, leaving a lasting impact on individuals and society as a whole.
In essence, libraries are more than just places to borrow books; they are dynamic centers of knowledge, culture, and community.
