Moving Offices? Found Something Historical? |
As teams relocate or refresh their workspaces, many are uncovering old documents, photos, and objects that reflect the history of our district, services and staff. Before discarding anything that might hold historical value, please consider donating these items to the HNE Health Libraries’ Historical Collection.
Our Expression of Interest process makes it simple to submit potential donations for review. These materials help preserve and share the rich story of our district, ensuring important moments aren’t lost during office moves. If you find something that may be worth preserving, please contact the library team. |
| Library services continue to operate |
The Health Innovation Living Lab (HILL) is now reserved exclusively for SDPR training and closed for all general use.
To reserve your SDPR hot desk place, fill in this form or contact HNELHD-JHHSDPRTraining@health.nsw.gov.au
A staged reopening of the space is anticipated with information to follow.
Library staff will remain based at the HILL and will continue to provide support. |

Our Librarian, Cherish wants to highlight a recent ebook addition to the collection. The Power of Choice, award-winning photographer Julian Kingma turns his camera on those who choose assisted dying, and those who help them on their final journey. These intimate portraits, along with essays from Andrew Denton and Richard Flanagan, invite us to ask, perhaps for the first time, what makes a good death. 'Mute and frozen witnesses, we watched Death take this strong man my father and shake him out until he was nothing.' Andrew Denton 'They choose voluntary assisted dying because they want a good death and not a bad death. Because, dying, they want an end to their suffering, not its indefinite continuation and worsening.' Richard Flanagan
